Lunch meeting where the vendor brought in food, this never happens!
It's more like, we are scheduling a meeting over lunch, bring something along if you would like. Otherwise you are just out of luck. So my Friday salad came from Panera. They must have picked it up before coming in town, because there isn't one downtown. Lots of other choices, just not Panera. I think it was a Cobb Salad. Lettuce Tomatoes Avacodo Hard boiled egg Blue cheese Chicken Bacon (not much!) Some sort of yummy dressing that I used as little as I could. ❤️ 2💚 1/2💙 🔶 And yes - I totally took a photo of my food in front of people I didn't know. Best part, I don't think anyone even noticed me clicking away 😂

When I was getting ready to graduate with my undergrad business degree, I received some advice that has stuck with me.
#1 - every time you receive a raise, take a % and increase your investment in your future. #2 - surround yourself with those who are smarter than you. #3 - find someone you admire, and strive to be like them. #4 - be the employee who is thriving not the one simply surviving. It's crazy how much of this holds true to both my career as well as my personal life. Invest in yourself and find the inspirational people who are smarter than you and from whom you can learn. Thursday salad was a Buffalo Chicken sfrom Hello Bistro, hold the cheese and dressing & hot sauce on the side!
My lovely husband did end up getting the grocery shopping done in Tuesday afternoon, but I didn't have enough spare time this morning to throw a lunch box together. Why meal prep over the weekends is so important for me. Healthier choices and save money too! My salad today was $9 and Monday $8 - and I normally pack breakfast, lunch and a snack. Don't worry too much - Shakeology was on point each day! Got the nicest complement at work today.
A coworker, whom I have worked with for probably the last 6 years, came into my office and shut the door. I was kind of nervous, this could go one of two ways. It was either some good gossip or something was wrong. She looked and at me, asked me to please not be offended, but she has really noticed a change in me recently. I seem happier, more positive and it's a good thing. She didn't want me to be offended or to imply that I was crappy before, just that whatever changes I've been making are noticeable and to keep it up! Can't thank her enough for stopping by. Seriously gave me the boost I needed! It's only Tuesday and my week is off to a rocky start challenge wise.
This weekend was rough with 2 sick boys, so needless to say the grocery shopping didn't get done. That is a HUGE danger zone for me! All of a sudden my diet isn't planned out and I am at a high risk for tripping up. So until the shopping gets completed, I will tour downtown Pgh for different salad spots. Today was just the cafe in my building since it was crummy outside and I didn't feel like leaving. My salad today: Spinach Tomatoes Cucumbers Carrots Egg Cheese Beets Craizens Balsamic 💚 1/2❤️ 1/3 💙 1/2 🔶 coffe with stevia

"Bowen has been up since 3am, I need more sleep" "I can just try to get a workout in after work" (which I already know I will spend the day figuring out how to rationalize that one away). "I'm doing great, one skipped day won't hurt" "My body is still sore from yesterday." At 4:35, I turned off my alarm, laced my shoes and pushed play. Sitting here on the bus into work right now feels great. I wanted to badly to skip and now that Hammer Power is over and done with, I couldn't be prouder of myself for keeping my commitment! Excuses are what got me the body I'm not proud of. Listening to them will only keep me in the same place. Get up, get it in and do something great today! Middle of the 4th week of Hammer and Chisel and I'm starting to see some baby abs and some baby arms poking out of my momma fluff!!
